What to Expect

Each Sunday here we offer two worship services.

  • 8:15am is a spoken liturgy

  • 10am is a sung liturgy.

We are liturgical, but far from uptight. We are gracious in our welcome, but not smothering in our love.

We celebrate Holy Communion every Sunday. We see communion as God’s Table of Grace. Therefore, we do not turn anyone away. We invite and welcome all who wish to receive.

People tend to dress as they wish. You may see suits and ties. You may see golf shirts and shorts. You will not see anyone rolling their eyes at anyone else. Come as you are. All are welcome, here.

We are a mix of ages, backgrounds and professions. Here you will find single folk and families. Some of us have lived in Magnolia our whole lives. Some of us are new to the neighborhood. While some of us grew up in the Lutheran tradition, most did not.

Our worship services are filled with participation. There is singing. There is speaking. We provide a bulletin and a hymnal for the parts to speak and sing. We believe that Sunday morning worship is far more than a concert. In worship, we are not the spectators, but the participants, in thanks and praise of our Living God.
