Rev. Dr. Kevin Bates
Pastor Kevin grew up in the Northwest. He finished high school in Puyallup and graduated from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma. He went to seminary on the South Side of Chicago, and finished his post-graduate work in the Bay Area of San Francisco. In addition to serving as pastor, he has worked as a dish washer, youth ministry, waiter, construction worker, frame shop and museum guide. He enjoys stories: reading them, listening to them, and telling them. He and his wife, Marcia, and their two sons enjoy travel, beachcombing and tackling the never-ending projects around the house.
Nancy Searle
Nancy is a life-long resident of Magnolia. She attended Magnolia Elementary School, Catherine Blaine Junior High School and graduated from Queen Anne High School. Nancy is likely to be the voice on the other of the phone. Should you stop by during the day, she is likely the person who will give you the first hello. As Parish Administrator, Nancy oversees all of the print resources and financial reports of the congregation. If you wish to be added to MLC’s mailing list or email list, she is the one to contact.

Mara Meloy
Mara makes everything shine. She cleans and straightens the place, both inside and out. She grew up in Eastern Washington and has lived in Magnolia for nearly twenty years.
